Testament to what is lost in translation
As everyone who responded to my last post had pretty much the same thing to say, I thought that this would be the most effective and least monotonous form of reply.
It wasn't what I wrote, but how I said it that les to the question. You would have had to hear me say it out loud to have a similar response. Admittedly it was a slight exaggeration, but it did sound campy to me.
So :P to you all!
On to real things...
1 - did anyone else have problems accessing LJ yesterday, or was it just me? K, I just checked News and saw what happened, but... I don't think I saw anything about not being able to access the site at all. Just userpic problems and whatnot. How come I couldn't open anything LJ?
2 - yesterday was crap with capitals F, U, C, K, I, N and G. Apparently my shift got changed from an 8 o'clock start to the 7:30 Open shift, but my boss didn't tell me. He also neglected to leave a float for us, so there was no change until about 9 o'clock. And we were down one baker, on the busiest day of the week, so everything was late coming out of the ovens. This was partially good because it meant that we didn't have to not give change to as many customers, but really bad because it meant that customers were buying things - we probably only had about a quarter of our usual stock until about 10:30, when the White Things finaly came out. ( why this was a problem )
3 - today was crap, but to a lesser extent. Somehow, my alarm didn't go off this morning, so I didn't wake up until 5 minutes before I had to be at work... and that's how long the drive takes. Whoops. Thankfully, I'd planned ahead for a change and had everything ready, meaning I could get there and be only a couple of minutes late. Also thankfully, my boss wasn't there, and the bakers didn't seem to notice. Plus, when there are too many customers, the head baker comes out from the back and helps serve; he does the same in the morning before the person on Open gets there if randoms decide to screw trading hours and be too early, so it wasn't like people were waiting around or whatever. So no problems.
4 - I need to go study for Linguistics now.
Oh, but
5 - I have my new email address. It's listed in my userinfo.
