hydeist_, I would like to thank you ever so much for introducing me to Spook. For those of you who don't know, Spook is a small group containing Daniel Belle and Chanel Cole from Australian Idol last year. And the best part - it sounds nothing like the overly pop productions of previous ex-Idolites and "winners". It has "Statler and Waldorf's trip hop beats, electro basses and subtle textures blend[ing] with the intimate vocals of Daniel Belle and Chanel Cole to create the unique and personal sound that is Spook", and sounds really good from the snipets they have on their site. If you want to hear them, you can use the link below. You will probably have to sign up with them to gain access to certain areas, such as the music clips, but the process is easy (just go to the log in page and take the link to make a new account - one email, one link, and you are in business). The only have clips of Chanel's music so far, but from what I have heard, October 4th will be a day for one more CD to add to my collection.
