Um, someone stole our van this morning. Or during the night. It's an old, white Toyota Tarago, with rusty bits and a whole lot of age. My dad just called the police, and is talking to the insurance people now.
Why anyone would want to steal it, I don't know. The only thing I can think of is that it is pretty damn big, so if they're gonna be stealing other things, it'd be a good car to have - lots of storage; back seats can be put up against the windows, and middle seats can be laid out flat.
Can I just say now, though, that something feels fishy about the whole thing. If it was taken during the night, surely my mother and brother and sister would have noticed that it wasn't there when they all left for work, and come back in and tell dad, or message him from the road. And if it was taken after they left this morning, wouldn't somebody have noticed? Broad day light. Other occupied houses around. Broad day light!!
