Yeah, not real, even the stuff before the key hole bit. There's a lot of me in the character though - the constant "oh fuck now this?!"-type thoughts, Bonding Over Not Being Morning People and what not. And I'm glad you found it Real enough to think the first bit had actually maybe happened though - that's sort of what I was going for with the whole 'as I think it' style, to better contrast the end.
