okay, so i am being made by my parents to take the day off today, even though i have an assessment task due tomorrow and a rehearsal for this saint scholasticas thing this afternoon. its the stupid inclass english essay that i have posted about in
school__boy and have been updating ferociously.
anyway, onto my sickness.
so whats wrong with your throat this time you ask? very simple.
IT'S SCREWED!!!!
for about two and a half weeks now, my throat has been acting up on and off. the first time it was just really sore. then it went away and returned after a night in the city, the cold, cold, thursday night city. then it went away the day after i went to the doctor, after he told me he wasn't going to prescribe somehting for me. then i had a restfulish kinda time away from the disease, but now it is back in full force (or at least was upon my wakingup this morning). before today (and the end of last night), my throat had merely been sore, not this dry scratchy feeling that i have now. but this morning, when i woke up, i couldn't even speak properly - when i tried to speak to my parents, my mum immedately said well you can't go to school today, got out her medicare card and put it on the table.
so i went back up into my attic-bedroom and got changed out of my partial school-uniform/partial pjs outfit and got into something warmer. i then listen to the radio and notice that it has been a half hour of Merrick and Rosso saying that this segment will be up next - after that long, i thought do they mean up next week's arse??? cause i sure is aveing a hard time getting here!!!. afer that mental outburst, i came back down stairs and pretty much left for the doctors straight away.
PART 2 - THE DOCTORS LAIR
the wait for the doc wasn;t that long really. admitedly it seemed longer than it was, but that is because the tv in their waiting foyer was around the cornen - out of sight and barely within earshot. so i was sitting there, got called, and went in. the doc reminded me of Mr Arulanandam, but i don;t think anyone else would have thought similarly. anyway, after taking off my $90 jacket/coat (thats the half-price deal i got for it, so you know it is good quality warming material) and my chest being listened to and haveing my nose blown through one nostril and some other weird tests, he takes one look into my throat and says oh no turns off his little flash light (he didn't even use a paddlepop stick of depression), and says i have infected tonsils. this is most likely based on their GIGANTIC ENORMOUS HUGIFICATIOUS size, but that really doesnt mean anything. since i was a little kid i have always had large glands and tonsils espescially - my party trick was enlarging these tonsils further of course, making them bulge in my little boy mouth, cutting off all air but giving a nce little show - so by him saying they are big :. they are infected is crap. if anything, it should have been that because my right tonsil has shrunken to normal human size (which it has) that he said something was wrong. i mean, it has been small since i got sick, but no one noticed other than me.
ANYWAY, *stops ranting*, he turns off his little flash light and says you have acute tonsilitis. WELL NO WONDER - my sister has just been diagnosed with her third bout of pustular tonsilitis in a year (twice in two months), my cousin just got over glandular fever, my uncle/godfather just had glandular fever, my dad has had glandular fever before (ok, so that one is a long shot, but still you get my point). all of that added to my recent work overload (not that i do any work), and my late night habits (not that i sleep later than more than half my year at least ), plus recent strain due to choir, musical, winter festival and other rehearsals -> me = sick.
oh well, what you gonna do?
