Ok, so now it's official - my school is purposefully trying to screw with the minds of all 16 year 12 music students.
Not only did they have the nerve to postpone a performance night that was supposed to get us ready for our Trial Performance night until the 26th of August (which is way outside of our Trial period), and not only did they do htat the day before it was scheduled, but now they have definately postponed our actual Trial night until the 15th of August, and they did that yesterday - THE TRIAL WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MONDAY NIGHT!!! And now its during the day! My accompanists, and many others, might not be able to accompany us during the day!!! ARGH!!
I would like to take a moment to say that my school is obviously devoid of common sense - do you think that it makes sense to postpone a performance the night before because it might add to stress? we are going into our Trial period, so of course we are stressed, but taking it off the day before doesn't really relieve the stress, it just prolongs it. I was all psyched up to perform last night, in front of friends and family, with an amazing jazz piano behind me for one piece and my cousin's band for the other, and get feedback on how i went. There was no stress in me. But now, i have to stress because my accompanists might not be able to accompany me for my Trial, i don't get to perform for my family and friends, and i don't get to chill out thinking that i have one less exam to worry about during the Trial period ... [mental note - I am home alone, but there is someone watching me from the bathroom] ... yeah, heaps less stressful this way.
Oh, an dthere is also the slight problem of some people already having exams on during the time we are supposed to do the Trial on the 15th - how the fuck does the school miss that?
I think my parents are going to write a letter of complaint to the school. They have before, and as I was recounting this tale to them, my dad was writing down names and stuff. So, won't I be Mister Popularmuffin with the school board? ... yay.
*pokes school with particularly sharp pitch-fork device* We shant forget this.
