ok... um, my mother just kind of offered to buy my current laptop off me to help pay for a new one... seeing as this one will be third or fourth hand by the time she gets it, it won't really be that much help to the budget, but at least she gets her own (and made-within-the-last-half-decade) laptop [she's currently "sharing" with my sister, which, naturally, means that it stays with my sister until my mother needs to type up an exam, at which point she complains that my sister always has it (even though my mother rarely needs it) and constantly forgets that she practically gave my sister control over said laptop on the proviso that as soon as she needed it my mother would get it]. This means I'll either a) be able to get a replacement sooner (hopefully with a battery that lasts at least 10 minutes... yes, I
am serious - a 10-minute-lasting-battery would be an improvement), or b) can go for a slightly better model.
Either way, it's good for me.
Let's hope she still remembers her offer in the morning.
Also, thanks to my GLORIOUS GRAPHICS TABLET OF w00t!NESS, I have been helping my sister with her 3rd Year University assignments by providing graphic representations for her paper. Admittedly they have only been stick-figures, but they are the best damn stickies in the world. Yes, you read correctly, for I am Lord of the Sticks... if you have
ever seen me, you'll understand... at least in normal clothes... I think suits tend to hide my lack of
bodily existence size. Anyway, the sticks are damn cool and I loaded them onto imageshack so you can see their glory:
( cut!ness for the connection-impaired... like me :( )They're for ETP(?) Exercise Training and Prescription(???) which is the subject, but, more specifically, for an exercise program for a hypothetical case-study/test-subject at a gym or what have you. *is proud of helpfulness*
There was something else too, but I can't seem to remember exactly... all I an think of is small squares, about the size of stamps or maybe userpisc... *shrugs* if its that important, I'll remember eventually.
