1. Describe your earliest memory where the memory is clear, and where "clear" means you can depict at least three details;
2. Give an estimate of your age at the time;
3. Tag five other bloggers with this meme. (Or just extend an open invitation)
I don't really have that many "clear" early memories. In fact, my memory doesn't really work that well without triggers. That's why I'll tell you that you have to ask me specific questions if you want an answer; none of the broad generalisation crap. However, I will do my best.
I remember my interview for preschool. Vaguely. Mainly because I was set down to play with toys in a corner of the office while the big people spoke about me. It was my mother and the large blonde lady, and I guess she was the one who ran the place because it was her office and, well, she was conducting the interview. There were two other women who worked the joint, and all of them had nicknames, but I only remember the ones we gave these two - Joanna Goanna, and Pepe Le Pew (or is it Peu? or one of the other variations I've come across?). Actually, I can't remember Pepe's face, nor her real name (unless that was her name...); I wonder why Joanna stuck with me. The name Vicky is also in my head... perhaps the name of TLB lady, perhaps there was a third lady?
I have a feeling that the body of TLB lady has been replaced in my memory by that of TLB lady teacher at my primary school, so I have no idea what she looks like beyond that vague description. I do, however, see her wearing her hair short, her top white, and her pants black. She also has earings, I just can't quite see them.
This was the first time I'd been in the office, and we'd come in through the backdoor. I remember remembering the back door the second (and final) time I was in that office, and asking why we couldn't just leave through it once the talk was over (we were in there for some Parent Teacher Interview style thing, showing the mums and dads how far their kids had come).
Hmmm... that's kind of lame, but oh well. It'll have to do.
I open this up to anyone who wants to do it. I don't want to tag people because they're kind of pointless sometimes - the people who want to do it will, and those who don't won't; tags won't change that.
( This one was done by Highly and The Goblin a while ago, and I've been meaning to do it ever since, so here goes... )
And, because it's one of my favourite memes, and I haven't done it in ages...
Ask me to, and I will:
1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, a word etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ

In the Land of Not Memes, little is happening, but things have happened. Last Wednesday was Amy's birthday, and we had two parts to the celebrating - one with Lynn, one with Kelly... and Lynn, after he realised he could make it and decided not to be too awkward or hatin' over their breakup. All went well. Tuesday's dinner was good, and next time I go to the Ashy, I am sooo having nachos!! Friday's at Amy's was good too, as was Blink (and my ability to non-endrunkenedly dance). Only bad thing is that some of us believe Jackson Likes me... and Jackson is... not someone I will ever Like, to put it as nicely as possible.
Sunday we all went to the beach. I wore shorts (well, three quarters). Obviously I am no longer of sound mind. Lynn brought a friend, Sam, who Kelly and I were both perving on (*flutter*) but who is straight. Everyone but me got in the water (they were actually in the lagoon, not the beach), my excuse being Sun Exposure Is Bad, My Meds Say So, so I basically sat in the shade and watched people doing backflips off the cliff and the waterfall next to them. It was a good day. Except that Kelly seemed to be feeling Hate Vibes from Lynn. That'll lessen as time goes on though. Hopefully.
Other than that, I'm organising a blood test tomorrow (finally), and then going to continue trying to plan birthday goodness. At the moment, it looks like I'll be having three separate Friend outings:
1. uni/school people the Friday before my birthday, probably having dinner and then going to Purple Sneakers. At the moment, there are about 11 people in this group, but I'm not expecting them all to come, nor those that come to come to the whole thing. I do get the feeling that I'm forgetting people here, but I'm sure I'll remember them in time.
2. work/etc people at some point during the week of my birthday, probably having dinner somewhere with alcohol, and somewhere local, hint hint. Unfortunately, seeing as it can't be a Friday, there'll be no Blink, so no alcohol-less
3. I refuse to spend the day alone, so I'll organise something or other for then with some combination of uni/school/work/etc people. Nick's already invited and has agreed. I'll invite the other two, Ellis and Cynthia, when next we speak and hopefully they'll come. Unless you see it here first, in which case COOOOOOME!! :D
Um, fourth would be Family the Friday after. Not so happy about this, because it was organised without my knowing. I was planning on doing work/etc people on the 21st so we could do Blink, but now I can't. It now has to be in the middle of the week, and Kelly starts Summer School on the 19th, so I don't want to do Tuesday - Thursday night, which leaves Monday night.
Ah well. I'll get something happening.
