How could this be?
Why do I have to be sick now?
My head is pounding, my throat is in "cough and splutter"-mode, my whole body aches (especially my lower back) and I am consecutively boiling hot AND freezing cold... well, I was when I was in bed and woke up - the covers were heating me up nicely but I was still shivering from the icicles in my bones.
When I woke up this morning, after asking my parents "if I still feel like this tomorrow morning, can I not go to school?" last night, I was in absolutely no way able to move, my body was in that much pain. Unfortunately, I really needed to get up and get downstairs because I felt ravenous yet like I would throw up any second. Also unfortunately, the immense tingling whooziness in my legs made me afraid of wlaking down the step-ladder from my room to the tiled kitchen floor - call me crazy, but even as sick as I was, I didn't fancy a possibly-fatal tumble. So, I stayed in bed, and it took from 6:00, when my sister woke me up getting breakfast and generally ready for Uni, until 9:30 to finally get up. I got downstairs and my dad asked me what the SMS number for school-absences was, and seeing as the only copy of that number that I have was up in my room, I was forced to ascend and redescend the stairs in my still-whoozy state.
Not fun.
After we got this sorted out, I went to the lounge and lied down - several sleeps were had there, and I didn't get up until 12:00, at which point I had breakfast/lunch, my Augmentin tablet and some Vitamin C while watching Music Max and Fresh Meat on Channel V.
Oh, and when I told my Mid Dip cousin that I was sick last night, he suggested that I just say "no" to doing Friday night's performance - even though not performing will be an extreme bummer, I think it will be for the best, especially seeing as my throat problems always seem to take the longest to heal. So, next time I see my music teacher, I shall tell her of my decision.
Damn my throat's viralness.
