(no subject)

They say idle hands are the devil's tools and therein lies the satanic genius of Ikea: they make it so easy to sleepwalk through their aisles, choose this, match that, then bend over while they rape you with an allen key at the cash register. - SMH... somewhere... yeah. My referencing skillz ROCK!

Personally, I love Ikea and those allen keys. Half the furniture in my room is Ikean, and I still have all my allens tucked safely away ;)

Ask me a question about each of the following:

1. Friends
2. Sex
3. Music
4. Drugs
5. Love
6. Livejournal

No matter how rude, sexual, or confidential. Then post this in your journal and see what questions you get asked.

C'mon guys - you know you want to ;)

It's a lot harder to come up with questions than to answer them...hm..

1. when you were in middle or highschool, where was the place you and your friends hung out the most?
2. What are your morals reguarding sex?
3. When will I get to hear something from your band? ^_^
4. I don't think you've ever done drugs, would you ever? If so, under what circumstances?
5. Do you consider yourself gay or bisexual? If bisexual, do you have a prefference to one sex over another?
6. Do you talk about your livejournal-friends with your friends in real life?

1 - there were places in each yard (depending on the year, though we only moved three or four times) we'd go during lunch, like one specific table, or one corner near the stairs, or actually on the stairs. But, I think that is not what you mean. We did have one mall we would always go to when we wanted to watch movies (called BROADWAY!! lol), and we'd always go for coffee after, either in Dymocks or Gloria Jeans, but that's the closest to a regular hangout we ever had.
2 - I think that as long as it's consented to by both parties, of sound mind and age, there is no problem with it. And seeing as marriage is not an option for some couples (even if they aren't gay), I don't think it should ever have to be nosexbeforemarriage. I do respect people who choose that path though, because it sure can be hard (and that is soooo not a pun). Although, I am kind of biased here atm, what with the raging teenage hormones and all.
3 - Maybe when I have a band? Sorry if my question was misleading. Oh, but I did get a sort of offer to join a band, "The Neon Wizards", the band of a girl at work. I don't think I've got the right voice for their music, but as soon as they've got a gig I'l be there just to make sure. And as soon as I do have a band, I'll let you know.
4 - Nothing illegal, only the over-the-counter stuff and tea, coffee, and a little alcohol. And that's the way I want it to stay.
5 - Bi, but at the moment I'm in a bit of a manwhore mood, and definitely looking. Hell, last night I dreamt that I was finally with one of them... though I'm not sure he actually knew it.
6 - I used to, when I actually had proper friends that I would see everyday and talk to about almost everything. Now that I'm at uni, I'm switching between groups all the time, when I find them, and my social skillz fail in such poor conditions. However, I do talk to hydeon about other LJ friends, and seeing as he was a rl-friend before being an lj-friend/mentor, I think he counts, because I don't just talk to him on LJ... sometimes.

I know it sounds pathetic, but I miss having rl-friends. There are uni people, but they're not people I would invite out anywhere yet. They're still a little acquaintance-y... oh, woe is me :P

3. Ohhh, ok, I thought when you said you had a gig coming up you were being serious. And then I was all "wait, when did he join a band?! I definitely would have heard about this, I hope..." Ok, well then when you DO, I expect a listen =)
5. Ok, that's what I thought the case was

It doesn't sound pathetic at all. Remember, I went through it all of last year, too. This is the first semester I've actually made friends at school, who I actually see outside of classes.

[identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
true, and maybe when I'm doing an actual degree (which hopefully will be next year) I'll have outside-enabled uni friends, too.

[identity profile] yodallama.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
True, because then you'll know you all have at least one thing in common

[identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
well I have something in common with almost everyone I have music theory classes with, and the same goes for my education classes - we all love and want to better our knowledge of music, or we all want to be teachers, or both if they're cross-overs like me.

but next year it should be the same people for every class I have, or just about, and that will make the socialising much easier... or at least should.

-Sam De Brito, All Men Are Liars

my referencing skills RULE :D

(helps that i have a tinsy winsy ginormous celebrity crush on Sam... yep, typical. other people get obsessed with movie stars and the like, i get a thing for a random writer...)

[identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com 2006-09-25 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I knew it was from a Sam who wrote about men being liars... I just couldn't remember the exact name, nor the date it was published.

and I would expect nothing less, Miss Amy.

not everyone gets crushes on movie stars and the like, though not everyone gets crushes on random writers either... meh - everyone is different, some are just more different than others ^_^
