... in which I relate a dream.

I didn't realise we were playing basketball. Then I saw him take his shot. For some reason, I'd moved myself out of the way, giving him a perfect line for an easy swoosh! Whatever game I thought we had been playing, the move didn't translate successfully.

Especially seeing as it was the winning basket.

The team walked back along the corridor with Coach Carson and his helper, Miss Williams. We were in the Gallagher Building, on the second floor, in an area that technically doesn't exist, in place of the elevator. Our bags were at the other end of the corridor, just outside G26; no one was allowed to have their bag in any of the science labs - it was too dangerous.

As I leant down to pick up my bag, I was hit with a sudden wave of sickness. It wasn't nausia, just... sickness. Suddenly, the sickness began pouring out of me, just as it had done earlier, though I couldn't tell you where or when. It came out of me in tears and spit and blood, through my eyes and mouth, like I was dry heaving without the dry.

Coach and Miss Williams noticed me, and I could see the fear and worry in their eyes. None the less, they took charge; Miss Williams led me down the stairwell and over to the library, where Sick Bay was.

The Head Librarian was in charge of Sick Bay as well, and he appeared to be closing up. It was a school day, but nearing the end of last period, and I guess he assumed it would be ok to close early. We caught him at the side entrance, warding off a couple of stray students. He let us in thanks to my teacher escort.

Miss Williams and the librarianseemed far too happy for the state I was in. Or had been; I have a feeling I did nearly skip down the stairs from the G2 corridor, and that Miss Williams was confused by it. Assuming that was the case, she may have assumed the worst was over, at least for the time, and been made much happy by that possibility. And I suspect that the librarian was no more exuberant than normal.

I was left in the care of the librarian in Sick Bay, and that is as much as I remember.

So yes, I've taken to writing down my dreams again. I've done it a couple of times before, but I don't usually remember my dreams, and I think it's because I listen to music before I sleep. That is, I don't usually remember them until I stop with the music, have a run of super clear dreams, freak myself out, and start listening to music before I go to sleep again.

This time, I was inspired by [livejournal.com profile] goblinpaladin's Wordsketches (though I've made no more progress with them since my last endeavour). So, really, my writing down my dreams has become a writing outlet, not just a log.

Inspiration is my stock in trade.

Okay, not really. But I am glad that you are inspired, if nothing else. That's super awesome. Maybe I should organise this sketchcrawl thing I mentioned to you before. There are some freaking gorgeous locations in Newtown town. Found one today.

Haha glad to be inspired :)

It does sound a good idea, the sketchcrawl thing. And Newtown is pretty.

I'm uploading a bunch of crazy graffiti from Newtown as well. This area is awesome. I'll update the LJ with a shot or two when it's done uploading. You should check it out.

I just came across the notice for this comment in my inbox and wondered whether you'd put any more thought towards the sketchcrawl idea...

Not really as such, no. I'm waiting until university starts as most of the people potentially interested are university types and would need to get their timetables sorted first.

What an interesting Dream.

Sick Bay?

---------------------------------------
About your Dream Memory;

Is it normal only to remember nightmares and never a good dream?

It is not a question of whether or not it is normal to remember only your nightmares, but why you remember your nightmares as opposed to your other dreams. Nightmares are much easier to remember for several reasons. First nightmares are vivid, frightening, and often jolt you awake. Whenever you are awakened in the REM stage
of sleep, you are much more likely to recall the events of your nightmare. Secondly, nightmares tend to occur in the early morning hours, when you are about to wake up. Remembering your dreams can take some effort on your part and not a question of normality.

---------------------------------------------
If you want to remember your dreams, Phrasey, I suggest telling yourself you want to remember them before you sleep. Also!!! If you are awakened at some random time in the middle of your dreams, you *will* remember them.

:D I love Dreams.

*hearts!

Re: ...A little bit of stolen analysis. (Because I can)

Ok, so I need help and "they" are willing and able, but I'm getting in my own way. So I am purging something bad from myself, and achieving some sort of spiritual cleansing, but it is exhausting me.

This is mirrored in the other aspects of the dream, which relate to a need to be more self-disciplined, quite possibly in the realm of music, as I require advice and guidance to attain the right balance between the creative and analytical/knowledgeable sides of my mind. Again, I need help, and I am (my mind is) getting in the way.

Interesting, interesting...

Sick Bay: where you go when you're sick. It's like the nurse's office, except we didn't have a nurse at my high school. The Head Librarian may have had First Aid Training, but he wasn't a nurse.

And it wasn't a nightmare. Yes, I did have an... episode, within the dream, but it wasn't nightmare-label worthy.

That sounds interesting. I thought it was a place they threw you if you got Sick. Like Spartan Babies. o_o;

I dont think we have a Nurses office either, for that matter.

Yea, the thing just Specified Nightmares. Most of the other stuff holds true, I think.
