K gave me a Dreamwidth account so I'm testing the crossposter.

Hmm, that sounds almost like a weapon when I put it that way.

"Men, load your crossposters and get out onto the field ASAP. We have enemy trolls closing, so lay down supressing fire and keep our flamers safe while they load up on retorts!"

"Yes, Sir!"

It would be like a crossbow, except that the arrow-holder would be replaced by a tube of glowiness that shot angst and poetry and myspace photos when on one setting, rants and rage and angry faces on another, and embedded youtube videos of up-and-comers in the musicworld on the other.

I can't imagine it being particularly effective on the field.

(I'm really wishing I could crosspost to SpiderSpun from here too. That would make things a lot easier :( )

I'm pretty sure you can! You can set it up to crosspost to more than one account, and you can untick the accounts you don't want to crosspost to in each individual post.

Also you get more icons by getting a paid account - it's about 35 Australian for the year, and a LOT less for a month or so - this is copied from the FAQ:

Paid account:

$25/year
$13/6 months
$5/2 months
$3/month

Not that you have to or anything, but it's pretty cheap.

I use Semagic to cross-post bomb all three journals if I ever take it into my head to do so. In fact, I use Semagic most of the time for LJ anyway. I might start using the DW crossposter when DW is up and running with its flist importer and I desist opening up one or both of my LJ flists...

Just a little bit delayed but thanks for the heads-up on Semagic. I'm gonna have to look into that because I seriously hate the constant signing in and signing out; that's pretty much the entire reason I don't sign into SpiderSpun very often.

Question, though: am I correct in assuming it is just a poster? There's no FList-checking capability in Semagic?
