Uni Day Two went well enough
had a tutorial first at 9am (gah!) or at least I was supposed to. apparently, there are no tutorials for that subject in the first week. would have been nice if we'd been told, but the lecture (which is where we find out if tutorials/seminars/workshops/others are on) was straight after our tutorial, so... :( at least we were the only ones who had to suffer - ours was the only tutorial before the lecture. plus, I know two people in the lecture group from semester 1, and the people in my tutorial are really nice so I think it'll all be good. plus, the assignments require me to watch t.v. (even if it is Australian Idol) and read music magazines.
also had my first education lecture, and our lecturer is awesome. he's really easy going, and has a good sense of humour, plus he's the coordinator of the subject and was saying that he'd bend any rule he can for us, so I'm rather pleased. and, unlike first semester, we won't have any guest lecturers - it'll be him twice a week, every week - so we won't have to put up with the stupid lecturers who have obviously only ever taught primary students before (you would not believe how childish their discipline techniques are: we almost got a "hands on heads" from one of them - she had her hands on her head and had this really expectant look on her face, and it was obvious that she was arguing with herself over whether she should actually say "hands on heads" or just keep waiting fo us to catch on).
I went straight to work after my last lecture and it was not good. it was a newbie and me. newbies are always on with two other people during the first week or so so that their slowness doesn't hinder sales/work. last night was the first "two person" shift and it took forever to get out of there. I was doing some of her work as well as mine before we closed, so I had a lot more to clean afterwards, meaning we didn't get out until almost 7:30 (when I work with anyone else, it's usually 6:45ish when we leave, and a couple of others are usually out even ealier - 6:30).
but enough about work...
today was good too - met two new people through existing friends, one of whom I hope to meet again *blush*... he had really cute glasses and he's in my linguistics class, and he's probably the smiliest person that I've ever met my age. We didn't really talk that much, but I know his name and the course he's doing (Liberal Studies... I don't actualy know what that is, but I know the name ^_^')and I can hope he's in my tutorial. And, if not, there's always my lectures =D.
