Really cool movie about the split personalities ... but i wont say more as i might spoil it for you all - stars John Cusack, Ray Liotta and Amanda Peet (from "A Lot Like Love")
Poem From Identity
Yesterday, upon the stair
I met a man who wan't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish, he'd go away
The Spider - by me
there's a spider in the sink
sitting nigh upon the brink
of the man-made waterfall
sitting scrunched up in a ball
there's a spider in the sink
diggin hard to find a drink
scratching now upon the porcelain
that defeats his desperate plan
this was written when i found a spider in the sink of my bathroom - it seemed to be trying to get out, and the words just seemed to fall out of my head ... again
The Boy (aka the blue pencil poem) - by me
The boy, he stood there
not knowing where to go
Amazed, afraid, alone and lost
in all the to and fro.
Amidst closed hearts
and stoney faces,
the boy he stood there
amongst the strangers.
But one open heart
with one kind face
did soon appear
there in that place;
With an open hand
and a voice unplanned
a girl lent him welcome
and a smile that, time itself, did span
As a ripple in a pond
Caused by a palm frond
other hearts then did open
and other smiles turned on
The boy, he stood there
not knowing where to go,
for again he was lost
but in a sea of friendship he had not known.
written during ... um ... to be honest, i am not sure, but it was either Geography, Chemistry or a study period, or at home doing homework for Geo or Chem, because those two subjects share a common book at times.
The Others - by me
There are people at the Door;
They are knockng, wanting more.
They see us but are not seen
Hiding behind the pretence of a dream
They seek Entrance through the Gateway
That keeps their hidden forms at bay.
They seek control and shelter, food and warmth
From the chaos of our world, our imposed storm
Their current Mission is to Purify
And cleanse this world that's gone awry
No one shall stop these unseen Foes
for one or many? weak or strong? and how to hinder? no one knows.
definately written during Chem - it was one of Professor X's "holiday classes" where he does nothing but give us worksheets at the beginning or tells us to do our own work. we haven't had one in a while, which is good for two reasons.
2. we have gotten sooooo far behind in chem it is no longer funny when i speak to people outside of my school about it. not that it was ever really funny or anything, its just that, now, instead of laughing it off, i collapse into a heap and begin sobbing. well, i do on the inside ... sorta.
