I am sorry to inform you all, but the "upcoming" underage gigs that had been planned for Midnight Swim during the November-December time frame have fallen through. Apparently bookings were ... well, details aren't important (and I don't have the full story), so suffice it to say that they won't be on. For some of you, i.e. ashtray_girl633 and d_vinci, this won't be a problem because you will already be over 18 around that time anyway (though I hear they will be on tour through around then), and as soon as the 19th of December comes around I'll be able to go too. This news is, unfortunately, the worst for dawn_of_buffy and hydeist_, neither of whom will be 18 until next year, and all those of you reading my LJ who have no idea who or what Midnight Swim is (shame on you *wags finger*).
Anyway, I went to my first two tutorials today, Chemistry and SOR (Geography was ... *ahem*cancelled*ahem*) and they weren't bad. Went through some Chem qs, got resources for SOR, "attmepted" some study before hand at school but failed ... all in all, it was a good day. I still have to do some work tonight though, unless I get sidetracked again by Spider Solitaire and a few games that hydeist_ gave me a while back, but that's just because I have no spine and no self-motivation left after using all of it up being a "goody" for the first 11 years of schooling. Damn, that is one tiring stereotype...
But the reason I brought up the tutorials (before I got sidetracked by yet another tangent) is that I actually went to school today, which let me talk to my friends, which let me realise how much I miss talking to my friends, which made me realise how much I am going to miss talking to my friends on a daily basis. Therefore, I have decided to handcuff my friends together, then tie them to a pole, then plant the pole in my backyard so I can see/talk to the everyday for the rest of their lives. Sure, they'll get wet and hungry, but I can feed them and might consider some kind of primitive shelter for them. And, sure they'll run out of conversation material eventually because they won't have their own lives to talk about, but when that happens, I'll let them roam free for a little while before herding them up like cattle again and starting the whole process over. I already have consent from their parents and mine, now I just need to find some sturdy rope ...

Bad news, yes.
Sorry for not replying regarding your latest e-mail. My room was empty for about 3 days and was actually pleased I wasn't wasting time on the net.

DW about the no-reply, and not wasting time on the net is good, but why has your room been empty for three days? Has this something to do with the renovations?
