I didn't check my livejournal and stuff last night so this is odd, but I had a strange dream that I was watching the movie "Requiem for a Dream", having not actually seen the film and only knowing about it from the book version Sabrina was reading for Ext. 2. Then I read the title to your piece and found it more than usually coincidental.
