Yay for mexican dinners!
Yay for having four burritos in one sitting and not feeling full!
Yay for pHQ building snapshots!
Yay for me probably scanning the pHQ employee version of hydeist_ (leathers, sword and product!hair, for those of you who don't know) tomorrow!

I need a life. I can't wait until Uni starts, or until I start getting some work... either one would be really nice.

Vegetarian Mexican? I can't say I've ever tried it, so I wouldn't know how good it is... though, if it is Mexican it must be pretty damn good anyway you have it.

Wow - vegetarian from birth? That is some staying power!

What made/keeps you choosing vegetarianism?

Well, Like Most Sagis, I am intensely Religious. It is a Religious thing for us to be Vegettarian. My Entire Family is Purely Vegettarian. =D

I'm Roman Catholic.
Is Jain to Hinduism what Catholicism is to Christianity? A denomination/variant? Or is it something different?

From: [identity profile] desi-pixie.livejournal.com

Jainism isnt a facet or a sect to/of Hinduism. It's different in many ways.

Are you Religious too?? Or is it just passing like many people and their religions?

Well, I was born and raised Catholic, so I've been Catholic for 18 years, and for about 17 of them I was "Mass every week! No Swearing!Be a good little boy! Don't hate people!" and all that jazz, but in the last year I've come to question a few things, though I do still believe in being an essentially good person and not hurting others and such. It's more just that the Church seems to have become more like a brainwashing, monotonous chant of all the same prayers every weekend that's made me question why I bother going - I don't get anything spiritual out of it, and most of it seems like prayer for the sake of prayer...

I do believe in there being God, it's just some of the Church's specifics I want to question...

So, really, I guess I am religious, just not necessarily Catholicly... more just a vague Christian... if that makes any sense.

:D

Hehe You were told to be a good boy until you were 17.

I understand what you mean about that. I question things often, perhaps not what I should question. My Religion, though, satisfies me in it's explinations of things and I feel that if it satisfies my questions, I should follow it. The 'rules' they ask you to follow are interesting, but I love my religion for it gives me a reason to beleive it, not just leave it as "HE SAID DO IT, SO DO IT." That's how I see it. [[Sorry if that sounds like upping my Religion/insulting yours, My Brash Saginess sometimes does that. I mean what I say in the best intentions, of course. =)]]

Brainwashing...hmm...

It's too bad you dont get anything spiritual out of it. =(

I do believe in there being God, it's just some of the Church's specifics I want to question...
That, I beleive, makes sense. I personally would obsessively research those specifics. XD

It makes much sense =D

Don't worry, I didn't take it as an insult against my religion or anything.
Oh, and I meant that I kept telling myself that Be a good little boy stuff, not being told by others =D

It's sad how this conversation went from Mexican food too religion so quickly. =PP

Yay! One less person offended =D

Haha ok. I was wondering why your parents would be telling you to be a good boy at 17. =DD Then again...^^;;
