Apparently Spiderman just made me gay...

Oh well, isn't too big a change from being bi ^.^

preventative edit (it's kind of like contraception =D):
before anyone explodes, have you ever tried telling your friends your gay/bi/different-to-social-norms? just because I didn't say it, doesn't mean I wasn't looking for the appropriate outlet/opportunity. it isn't like I could just add in a casual "oh, and by the way, I'm bi", especially after i've known you guys (yes, you guys) since year 5... it felt like I'd be betraying you somehow if I did it all casual-like, and I didn't want to lose you guys over something that I'm sure all of you at least considered re:me at one point or another. plus, this way, I was able to blame Spiderman in the process ^.^ /jkz

edit #2: for those of you who neglected to read the comments that ensued from this at-the-time-of-posting-seemingly-harmless post, and for those of you who just didn't read the post properly, I'm not gay - I'm bi. The "just made me gay" comment was in referene to a spiderman "video" thing of weyardness that yodallama showed me that claims all who watch it are turned gay, at http://www2.b3ta.com/spidermanwillmakeyougay/.
next time a) actually read the post, and b) think about what you read before assuming things are completely without humour and are the plain truth.

Spiderman totally made you gay. And I totally didn't know you were bi, lol.

don't worry, only everyone who has read this post and one girl at Uni (her name is being Cynthia), as well as myself, know.

=D

From: [identity profile] yodallama.livejournal.com

lol I wasn't worried. I thought about it, I just didn't know =P. I should have just assumed though, because aside from Sami and like..one other guy, none of my friends that I talk to on a regular (or semi regular) basis, are straight, lol. Nnooonneee, haha

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

you thought about it?
so something made you think about it?
what were teh clues?

From: [identity profile] yodallama.livejournal.com

Not so much clues, but just when we were talking about slash and fanfiction and stuff. Most guys are like "eww slash gross" etc. etc. That's not to say that every straight guy is disgusted or intolerant of homosexuality, but I did have a fleeting thought about it, yes. Since then I really haven't thought about it, partly because I just figured you were straight (and exceptionally cool), but mostly because I didn't care either way, lol.

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

hydeist_ is slightly obsessed with slash... or at least he's been known to become engrossed in it from time to time.

And you think I'm exceptionally cool? *blushes* You are soooooo way cooler than I, my friend.

From: [identity profile] yodallama.livejournal.com

You are such a dork, lol of course I think you are exceptionally cool! Cooler than exceptionally cool! And then cooler than that. Duuuuhhh!!

Re: your latest post which I can't reply to

Lol, you always cheer me up.

You've seen me write about our friends Nikki and Stephen who live in Orlando, and how they're like...the only other people up here Sami and I hang out with. Well they broke up, and Nikki moved back down to South Florida for various reasons (this was another one of those reasons contributing to Jessi's-Had-A-Bad-Last-Few-Weeks that I haven't really mentioned). They are both pretty upset about the whole thing, but when I posted pictures of Sami and Stephen and I from the other day she got really upset seeing three of her best friends having fun without her. I can understand that, but I didn't think it would be that upsetting for her because she and Stephen still talk on a regular basis, and she even mentioned to us that we should go spend some time with him since he doesn't have many friends in Orlando and stuff. Plus it was his birthday. But if I thought she would get so upset over it I certainly wouldn't have posted them. =/ so hopefully she'll come around and see that I would never have intentionally hurt her, I just wasn't thinking it through all the way I guess.

*rambles all over you*

Re: your latest post which I can't reply to

Aaaw! But Nikki and Stephen seemed so happy... :(
Actually, they were adorable and I envied them a lot *pinches their cheeks*
And I totally understand Nikki's reaction - one of my friends being ousted from our group "recently" and kicking up a stink everytime certain people attend functions and "force him not to go because they're there" has given me a new perspective on life... mainly that he's a bit of a wanker and a drama queen, but still.

Re: your latest post which I can't reply to

They were quite happy, but they had a fair amount of history and drama behind them back from when they weren't dating. And Sami and I envied them a lot too...we sort of always looked at them as the ideal couple, so when they broke up we were like "....we are DOOMED to forever be single."

...I totally cut my own thought off, lol.

They were quite happy, but they had a fair amount of history and drama behind them back from when they weren't dating

was supposed to be continued with "so there was something that happened a loonnggg time ago that Nikki's never really been able to let go of, and it finally just reached breaking point and it got too much"

Mary-Jane is VERY UPSET Spidey turned you gay and is offering her services to turn you back into becoming straight.

dude, you seem to have missed four major points:

1 - my comments on your previous post alluding to my coming out
2 - the main point of my post here (i.e. the second line)
3 - yodallama's comments above and my replies
4 - various comments about Jake G

please rectify =D

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

lol
I hope that comment didn't sound rude or cold or anything... on reading it over again, it seems kinda... mean
sorry if it seemed that way
*quietly backs away into the shadows*

From: [identity profile] hydeist-.livejournal.com

I still don't know what your talking about regarding those 4 points.

Yeah.
You did sound slightly rude.
But it's the internet... soo... oh well.

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

ARG! I'm soooo very sorry *will cry and wail until you forgive me*

Ok. The four points were reguarding my being bi...

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

speaking of the internet, can you try nudging me on MSN? please?

get over it

listen Muffin man i didnt mean to be offencive, but at the same time im not sorry for asking. If someone told u that we wanted to know if u were gay we ment bi anyway. i knew u were talking about being bi not gay and so did sharon except sharon has a tendency to say gay! ive corrected her many times but in her mind she means bi. Anyway the chosen one is still confused. wtf is it. yes or no. plz dont reply with a metaphor or in a rude manner, im just really confused. i dont mean no harm or anything, ok, even though i can stake u in a heart beat. *laughing* im kidding.

plz dont be offended by this post.
The Chosen One.

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

over it...

... and I'm sorry if the edit seemed rude, but you know how the internet has a way of making my sarcasm seem ruder than intended.

I'm not offended by your comment, but I myself am a little confused by it...

Ok, when I was told you were asking if I am gay, I had no idea and no way of knowing that you secretly meant bi. Thanks for correcting her/him/it, even if it seems a futile effort.

However, the fact that you are correcting him, saying "bi" and not "gay", makes me wonder why you are asking "wtf is it. yes or no."... are you asking if I am indeed bi as opposed to gay? If so, the answer is yes, I am bi and not gay. If you are asking something else... I'm stumped as to what it could be, so feel free to enlighten me, oh Chosen One.

And there is no way that your little splinter there is a match for my Muffiny Powers of Righteousness!!! *mock evil laughing*

*exit*
