Got a music assessment back today. Did well. Yay me.
Was informed that the two Music Lectures I missed won't have their notes put up on WebCT and that I can't get a copy emailed because lecturer was working off handouts... not so yay.
Also, in the above informative session, I got the distinct impression that my lecturer knew my name because he noticed I was missing from the lectures on the days that the last two hand-in assessments were due (even though the last one had a legit. excuse, and I was still sick the next day and therefore didn't go in to Uni for that tutorial either, so I have proof for it). Also not so yay... :(

In other news, I just wrote up the 6th article for The Daily Tag and have plans for a 7th. They will both (hopefully) include "diagrammatical representations" in addition to their Patheticy goodness.

yay tpr - my saviour from Uni

Actually, recently I've found myself and my thoughts rather forused on TPR, the pHQs, the pHO Tower, the Committee of Heads, and all that jazz. I think I need to release this magazine soon... but I'm rather stumped on the presentation side - I want it to look like a newspaper/magazine/thingy, but that's hard with in Word document, and I've no idea how to go about it with Paintshop...

Any suggestions?

Yay for doing well!

Yay for TPR!

Before you try to make something in paintshop, you need to figure out what you want it to look like...a newspaper looks very different from a magazine...and stuff. But then you can just go ahead and, you know, fiddle around until you get something your happy with.

true, they do usually look very different. however, they wouldn't look dissimilar to each other if they were a magazine-like newspaper or a newspaper-like magazine... or something like that.

The only problem with trying to do it in PS is the whole text formatting thing - there aren't nearly as many options to format text in a PS document as there are in Word, and I find things like alignment are rather hard in PS, so that isn't very helpful.

:(

Oh well, I'll think of something eventually

Ohhh very true. I didn't think of that. But really, the cover of the magazine is the only part that should need Photoshopping...the parts with the actual articles and things would be mostly text and stuff, right? You can add pictures well enough in Word to just have them in the artical and wrap the text around them...

ah, but I want to present the special edition of The Daily Tag in such a way that it's like.. turning pages and stuff.. I don't just want the cover and the separate articles, I want it all bound into one thing... like a webcomic where you click on the "next" button to see the next page...

...you know?
