w00t!!!
Last night I went to a Swim Gig at HQ in Camperdown, just near my University. 'Twas awesome, let me tell you.
Our party was five - my sister, her Uni friend Wendy, her school friends Kez and Kate, and myself. My sister picked everyone up and drove us in (and drove us home too), so she couldn't drink. Actually, only Kez and Kate ended up drinking anything alcoholic, and they only hada Smirnoff each.
Anyway, they were headlining, so they had two other bands before them. One of them was from Melbourne and we missed their whole thing, but we caught the end of the Novocastrian band, The Glass Army's, act and they were pretty good.
Swim were AwEsOmE!! (as usuall? I wouldn't really know seeing as that was only second time, but oh well) they went for an hour and it was gone far to quickly, but they had three new songs so it was almost ok. The fist and last were really good, but the middle one was a solo just forSeanthe Thirsty Jerk, and it was about this dream he had of his girlfriend's sister and being in love with her too. It was weird and I felt it was rather similar to The Greatest Phoney in style and therefore taste-quality. But that's just me.
Their next gig is on the first of July if any Sydenites are interested. Kate and I haven't discussed whether we're going, but maybe kazaly will if she's 18 yet, and if hydeist_ has some ID by then (and if others decided to reply to emails)... After that, their next gig is in Wooloongong, but I think I'll give that one a miss
*wonders why*
Tonight I worked, and I have a small story to tell from that.
Usually, Exodus (a charity) collects the left over bread that will keep 'til morning the next morning. When the bread is set out for collection the next morning, we usually get security guys and other tight-arses going through the bread to take their pic of the leftovers for breakfast(!?!?).
However, because tomorrow is a public holiday they won't be collecting it. So, I in my infinite wisdom thought that, in case they would still put the bread out tomorrow before it goes to the bin, I'd crush every roll and loaf I could get my fist into to teach those stingy bastards a lesson
It's only a small gesture, and it seriously hurts now, but that's ok.
And!! To make my night, I got a splinter and had to dig it out with the pin part of my name badge *pout*. There was something else too after I got home, but I'll only tell you if you email me (so I can send (and explain to) you the userpic I made to commemorate it =D).
And now... a survey, coz I haven't done one in a while

16. Ever been in a fight with your pet: yes, and it spawned the nickname "cat molester", though I have no idea how or why - all I did was spray my cat with water using the spray button on our iron (the water wasn't even hot, I might add) after he attacked me for no reason.
