uh... wtf?
I now have 4, yes 4 tickets to the Coca-Cola Live'N Local.
hydeon and I went to the city today to collect my tix and ended up doing a bit of shopping too. I was put in charge of finding the ticketek outlet, which is strange because the city is his domain, but kinda makes sense because I'm generally pretty good at finding places I've never been to before. Anyway, we got there and queued and I think I was checked out twice by the girl/woman being served in front of me. When I got to the counter, I pulled out the redeemable voucher things they made me print out (damn they are a waste of red ink!) and the woman serving me rolled her eyes saying "Oh, I am so over these things". Needless to say, we made an instant connection - those so easily fed up with the antics of customers deserve as much support from fellow customer-victims as they can get.
To cut a needlessly long story short, she told me that each code entitled me to two free tickets. As I had two codes (no idea how, but I think I even lost one code because I got signed out *stabs crappy internet of two days ago), I got four tickets.
go me!
after that, SHOPPING! Only a small spree was had today - black pants and a shirt with a bear playing a guitar (so cute!!), two CDs (Muse and The Butterfly Effect), and a book called "The Government Manual For New Superheros". Black pants have been on my list for... I dunno how long now. They were supposed to be jeans, but oh well. Shirt was just for fun. I've wanted "Begins Here" (T.B.E. CD) since the beginning of this Semester I think, when I first saw it at HMV. The other CD was "Black Holes and Revelations", and its predecesors will be bought soon enough. The book... well, that was just for fun :P. I may have to go back for the other book... about procrastinating and feeling good about it... just wish I could remember its name. Wanna help me out here, Ellis?
Now I'm off to write my latest LNGS assignment. After the last one (for which I got 1/3 without ANY explanation), me thinks I should probably put some effort in. *stabs self* Of course, it helps that I actually know what's being asked of me now.
It's too hot in my room to work :(
