Uh! It's been forevers! I am such a bad boy, aren't I? :(

So...

My dad has just about finished painting the kitchen. We renovated our kitchen/dining area about three years ago, I think it was, and it was left unpainted (by choice). My dad was always going to paint it, and has been chipping away at it steadily since, but it has taken a while. He's just finished the skirting boards and the windows are being let to... something... ??? They're dry, but they're not quite finished somehow.

A couple of days ago, I had this huge urge to listen to The Open Door repeatedly for ages... Bad idea. I find half the songs on that album seductively depressing, so after a while I wasn't feeling all that good. And what's worse is that the feeling followed me to uni the next day like a bad little sheep. I probably wasn't an excellent person for Cyn to be around.

The next morning, I had my copies of My Brother's Blood Machine, by The Prize Fighter Inferno, and Second Stage Turbine Blade, by Coheed and Cambria, delivered (I ordered them online). Listening to them has made me super happy. Kinda weird, seeing as the songs aren't particularly joyous, but I'm not complaining! :P I'm still feeling the effects of them though I practically haven't stopped listening to them since I got them. BUT OMG!! I forgot to wear the Co&Ca shirt I got with them to uni today!! :'( Will have to wear it tomorrow...

Have I mentioned the return to Oxford Street last Friday? Or that I was double-booked that night? Work people invited me out to the Ashie and uni people to Oxford street (which, for non-Aussies, is the gay street of Sydney). It was a good night, though it took far too long to get to the alcohol, which meant my brain was in its usual state of overdrive for too long for effective socialising :( It wasn't too bad, though. Once I got to the bar, was called too manly to be gay (a first) because I chose beer over everything else, and got some fine liquid courage into me, I actually DANCED!!! Well, sort of. But still... Woot! I guess Dancing!Dave isn't dead after all. Or purely a Blink phenomenon! XD

DS and R4DS have arrived. They are awesome. They kept me sane while trying to write that damned Education essay that was due today. The essay I stayed up until 3am writing. The esay that meant I didn't go to Jake's 21st on Saturday night. Quite clearly, an essay of pure evil.

Oh, but on birthdayness, why is it that so many people are having birthday's at the moment? Sara was 22 two weeks ago, Curtis was 20 on the 19th, my sister was 21 on the 21st, my brother 24 on the 22nd, one aunt will have her birthday this weekend, another aunt will have her's soon after... April is just full of birthin', ain't it? Oh, and because I felt so bad about not going to Jake's 21st (which wasn't really his birthday, that was back in March and I'd already wished him good things and beer), I agreed to go out with the guys last Thursday for Curtis' 20th. Went to the Bald Faced Stag, drank, shot virtual deer (though Kelly and I are humane, and therefore purposely crap), and then went across the street to karaoke. No one got up to sing, but maybe next time... maybe.. if they get some good songs.

The only other thing to report that I can remember is that I'm meeting [livejournal.com profile] highlyeccentric tomorrow! And that I am loving the rain!! I love storms and rain. And spiders. And ALL OF YOU!!

EDIT
P.S. For Desi - Play, Sports, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and Twilight Princess, as well as some Virtual Console games (and seeing as I just got a gamecube controller, seeing as classic controllers are hard to come by it seems, I'm probably gonna get more V.C. games) XD AND STILL WAITING FOR TEH PICTURE MEME!! :P

you know what i look like, don't you? or should i wear something hideously distinctive?

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

Yeah, I think so. Then again, I thought a certain someone looked like three different people, based solely on photos I'd seen of him. Still not really 100% sure what to expect when I meet him.

However, I'll probably be wearing a brown Coheed and Cambria shirt with a big crest on it... unless of course I forget this in my morning stupour. We could be really cool and awesomely and have flowers in our lapels or summin'... or we could just rely on our abilities to recognise one another. You've seen me and I've seen you, so we should be ok.

If in doubt, look for the personification of self-consciousness! =D

lol :p you is rather a ditz.

i have Hair and you have glasses. can't be that hard.

Actually, the glass don't come standard. They're only for work'n'stuff, not walkin' 'round, so don't be expecting them.

And I'm only being ditzy tonight! I'm usually not this bad :(

*hugs* thanks for meeting up with me. you really are quite lovely ;)

HAHA! Oh my! I'm glad you thought so. I was kinda nervous 'cause I can be pretty bad, socially speaking. At least in person. My communication skills drop like 1000 points when I have to speak not write. (And the non-immediacy of writing certainly helps when you can't think of words :P)

Sorry I made you somewhat late to the Leadership meeting :( Hope you didn't miss much!

I'm glad we finally "met"! =D

'course i thought so ;)

meh. i just missed Katy Fernandez, nothing imp :p

must do again. sometime after my mountainload of essays are done. OH SHIT I HAVE SO MUCH TO DOOOOO!!!!

From: [identity profile] phrasemuffin.livejournal.com

Yeah, I've got quite a few assignmenty things coming up, too :( Not looking forward to any of them, but oh well. 'Tis the life I payed for.

Speaking of assignments, I'm pretty psyched about the 92% in Performance Studies that I brought home today. I think I should have gotten better, seeing as it was a summary of a single article, and the only problem they had was that I didn't put it in a reference list, but I'm happy with my HD :P

But, seriously, come on! It's implied! I referenced everything I used, I just didn't write the book it came from because THAT WAS PART OF THE ASSIGNMENT! And it isn't like there was a choice of articles; it was the the same for everyone. Humph! Silly people who made up their own department for no reason...
