So, ya, today was my second and last exam for the first semester of uni!! guess what that means - three and a half weeks of holiday!goodness... and, obviusly, much w00t!ness
In the lead up to today, I didn't study as much as I should have, but I partly blame that on newb-trainees at banks around the globe. Mainly in Ashfield, but I don't like to generalise too much. So, to explain that, on Tuesday I went to the bank to do 4 things:
1 - deposit $1300 into my keycard account
2 - move a further $100 over from another account, making a total of $1700 (there was already money in that account - I CAN DO BASIC MATHS YOU KNOW!)
3 - complain that I've been charged account fees when obviously I'm a student and I don't get charged fees becaue I'm a student
4 - change my PIN to something I can actually remember... again :s
However, as easy as all of that may sound, to the newb-trainee at the counter that was some tough doin's.
It took about an hour to do all of that because she transferred far too much money into the keycard account from the other one and kept muddling the two accounts up - "wait, which account is that going into again?" *look of absolute Lost!ness* and everything else (we had to wait for this guy to come over so he could undo her mistakes and hopefuly not incur account fees because of all the extra transactions she needed to do to compensate). Plus!!!! when I told her I was going to try and do a BMUS next year at the Con, she asked if I ply an instrument, to which I replied "I sing"... she responds "I haven't heard of that one. Is it, like, strings?. I was just sooo astounded by her confusion that I felt obliged to offer an "oh, it's very hard to explain... no one ever gets it properly unless they see it... but basically, yeah, it's kinda a string thing" which wasn't too far from the truth.
Anyway, the whole point of my doing that was to be able to purchase my new laptop from Office Works and not have to carry $1700 in cash into the store. My dad even felt he had to drive me into the bank so I wouldn't be carrying $1300 on the bu.. which is totally understandable, until you factor in the fact that it meant he wasn't at home working (he works from home - owns his own business) making a living, and I wasn't at home doing study, we were, instead, at the bank with the newb-trainee *STAB!!*.
I had planned to buy the laptop tomorrow, after I get paid, but I figured that it probably didn't make that much of a difference. In fact, by buying it tonight, I've been able to get the transferal process started by loading some stuff. Yay. And rebooting the maching so many times I've lost count. Not so yay.
But, nevertheless, I have a new Laptop of w00t!ness to go with my graphics tablet of w00t!ness... now the only problem is what I should name it...
suggestions?
