... in which David has revelations.
WTF? I just found out that my surname means "worker" in German.
And do you know another word for worker?
Perhaps smith!
Oh my god I'm just another Smith! Granted a non-German German Smith, but a Smith all the same!
:(
I feel so used. Why couldn't we have kept the 'original' French?

Also, sir, my last name is a small piece of skin in the vagina. What what.
Don't worry, the fact that either of our last names even mean ANYTHING makes us cooler than most of the population. =D=D

At least yours is interesting though; a conversation-starter, if you will. I have a slight twist, but still I am apparently a Smith.... actually, if I were a bigger Matrix nerd I would be all set for the conventions; I could go around introducing myself as a Smith, in a hot suit with hot black sunnies and slightly-less-hot slicked-back hair, with a hot German accent. After all, I am only a Smith in German.
But yes, you are correct. That our names have meanings and are not just random words (which is funny seeing as my name has changed considerably in the last however-many generations), does make as cooler than most of the population. Not that we wouldn't be without the name-meanings! :D
